Merry Xmas from the Editors Desk.

Hello hello hello. Again, I am sorry for the lateness in posts. Seems like the weeks fly by and not having anything decent to write about, I have once again run my blog low. I do see people logging in to read daily as well so thank you for being so loyal to my lazy ass.

So Xmas is just around the corner. This will be my first one in America and already I can see the huge differences in culture. I think the number one biggest difference is people's attitudes. In England it seems to be a bigger affair with how people feel and how the excitement builds. Here in America it is a 'get on with it' attitude until it actually comes. I've noticed the speed in which Xmas is arriving this year as well. Usually in the month of December things seem to move slow but not here in Indianapolis. Maybe it's all the work I've been doing.

So what else is new? Well, not much. I mailed a ton of presents home today which cost me an arm and a leg. Maybe the shipping costs were more than the presents but that is just the way it is. Fingers crossed it gets there before Xmas.

Last week I applied to renew my visa for another 6 months which was a big decision. No telling as to whether I will get the extension so right now I am in limbo between being allowed to stay and having to leave. Still, I'm keeping upbeat about that.

Since Xmas is around the corner, I have tried to get in the festive spirit with both the watching of festive movies (Home Alone, It's a Wonderful Life, Bad Santa), and the listening of festive songs. Right now good old Wham! is playing in the background and putting me off writing this blog. My favourite Xmas song though has to be the Pogues 'fairy tale of New York.' Just so comical yet catchy.

Apart from all that festivity, snow is on the ground outside and it is VERY cold. I don't think we have had as much snow as England yet but it sure is on the way.

I hope everyone reading has a great Xmas and that your festivities are in full swing. If they are not, don't be a scrooge, organise some yourself!
