2 weeks spent....

It has been nearly 2 weeks since I last updated my blog and the biggest gap between my updates so far. For this I apologise, my life has been busy in the last week and when I say busy I mean really I'm just getting lazier.

So last weekend (not the one just passed, the other one), my friend Dusty and Dean came over to Derby for a mini camp Menominee reunion. So, in the summer of 2007 and then in the summer of 2008 I worked at a boys camp in the North woods of Wisconsin. This was a great time and I taught climbing and photography. There is a ton of things I could write on camp and I am sure I will write more about it but for now i'll keep it at that.

Dusty was my co-counsellor at camp and we shared a cabin looking after 10 13yr old boys for the summer. Dean had the youngsters in the summer of 2007 and then in 2008 I had 15yr old guys and Dean had the 13yr olds so it all switched. The point about us working together at camp is that it creates a bond like brothers where you support your co-counsellors and you have that shared memory of camp so occasionally a bunch of us will meet up in various places. I have been to Iowa city to meet one guy, guys in London, Indiana, Cheltenham (UK) and now these two guys came and stayed with me.

As per camp reunion, last weekend revolved around drinking and camp stories as we hit house parties and clubs which was a great weekend. last week then was catch up on school work and a little bit of actual work for the university taking kids around dorms in Derby etc.

Now it is middle of March and Spring is well on its way to merry ol' England. It has been sunny for the last 2 weeks which is great. I never realise how grey it is in England until the sun comes out to remind me. Ok this is sounding way too brady bunch.

The weekend passed too quick as always and friday night we went to Nottingham for a friends birthday. Great times there except I got way too drunk and don't remember half the night. I do however remember walking home at 3am and having a huge headache all day saturday. Oh well, what are students meant to do eh!
